Couple Therapy

Intimate relationships take work and don’t come with instruction manuals. Even the healthiest relationships experience bumps in the road, and couples can benefit from guidance and support. Working out a minor issue in your relationship in therapy will give you the confidence and the tools to have difficult conversations in an honest and empathic way. Don’t wait until there is a crisis in your relationship to benefit from couple therapy. Couple therapy can help you and your partner explore the many facets of your relationship including sex, communication patterns, baggage from your families of origin, as well as your unspoken expectations, hopes and fears that you may have at any given time.

As an Ackerman Institute-certified couple therapist who also has advanced postgraduate training in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) , I use a relational approach in my work to help couples better understand how their interactions, patterns and dynamics may contribute to their relationship struggles while also helping couples connect in new and meaningful ways.

My work with couples includes the following areas of concern:

  • Attachment Issues

  • Cultural Differences

  • Communication Difficulties

  • Family of Origin Issues

  • Infidelity

  • Life Transitions

  • Separation/Divorce

  • Sex
